Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a torrid season, managing just one match at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after March of the previous year.
Success also means Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a trophy is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on court had prompted commentators to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was finished.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional victory, seized the initiative to force a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched victory with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
